Émélie completed a major in anthropology, a Bachelor's degree in biomedical sciences (2008) and a Master's degree in psychiatric sciences at the Université de Montréal (2012). She has been the CPO's research assistant since 2012. She contributes to the development of various research projects and supports students in carrying out their research. She has participated in research on the emotional distress experienced by parents of children with cancer and the long-term psychosocial impact of pediatric cancer.
