David Ogez
David Ogez, Ph.D., psychologist, is an Assistant Professor (by grant) in the Department of Anesthesiology and Pain Medicine at the Université de Montréal and a clinician-scientist at the Maisonneuve-Rosemont Hospital Research Centre. He holds a degree from the Université catholique de Louvain in Belgium and has experience in medical psychology, particularly in oncology, palliative care, and chronic pain clinics. He is the director of the Medical Hypnosis Laboratory (Laboratoire d'hypnose médicale, HYMed), where his research focuses on the clinical use of hypnosis techniques. His work explores hypnotic communication, self-hypnosis practices, and the integration of hypnosis with virtual reality. He is also a trainer in hypnosis and serves as the president of the Quebec Society of Hypnosis (Société québécoise d’hypnose, SQH).
