Serge Sultan

Serge Sultan is a Full Professor of Psychology and Pediatrics at the Université de Montréal. He was trained and gained experience as a clinical psychologist. He completed his doctoral studies in Psychology in 1999 and later obtained his accreditation to supervise research from the Université Paris Ouest (France).

In 2011, he founded the Psycho-Oncology Centre and currently leads a health psychology research team focused on the psychosocial challenges of pediatric cancer. In recent years, his research has focused on three main areas: 1) better understanding and modeling the Quality of Life of families facing childhood cancer; 2) developing and testing innovative psychosocial interventions to support these families; and 3) improving the care relationship by supporting healthcare professionals.
